Auditorium
With a seating capacity of 75, the ATC Technology Theater is able to provide services for 30 fixed seating positions in a United Nations (UN) style auditorium. The Technology Theater is wired for power and network/data connection and 15 microphones. Four UN wheelchair positions are available and are wired for data jacks with two accommodating microphones. The stage is also wheelchair accessible.

Breakout
Rooms
Located near the rear of the theater, the breakout rooms can be operated in conjunction
with the theater and house expandable bleachers. With the bleachers retracted,
the rooms can be joined or operated separately to accommodate up to 80 persons
with tables and chairs.

Projector
A projector will offer bright displays
with redundant lamp capabilities. Depending on the materials either 4x3 or 16x9
ratio images can be projected. In some cases, signal combining equipment will
allow split screen displays of multiple images.
Sound System
An in-house public
address (PA) system will amplify important speaker, presentation, video or remote
site audio and can be isolated to feed any room configuration and accommodate
multiple simultaneous functions. Microphone connections are available for the
lectern, stage, first two rows of the UN seating, with wireless capability for
one handheld and one lapel microphone.
Presentation System
Utilizing a speaker
lectern, microphones, computers, Internet access, DVD, VCRs, video cameras, a
document camera, and projector, the theater can meet most presentation requirements.
Recording System
Any meeting or activity can be recorded to a variety of formats
for distribution of documentation. The primary recording mechanism is videotape.
Control System
A touch screen control unit will allow presenter control over
the room environment including lighting, PA audio, and projection options, allowing
appropriate set-up at the touch of a button. A theater control room (located
behind the stage area) will be equipped and staffed to accommodate more sophisticated
room activities. The control room will be wired to connect to the Video Services
master control room.
Remote Controlled Cameras
Four remote controlled cameras
will provide maximum room video coverage and be routed to project in the room
or connect to the outside world.
Lighting
Lighting in the theater will support
three types of lighting situations: auditorium, classroom, and television lighting.
Instruments will be controllable both as on/off and as dimmer control.
Data Connections
Theater connectivity will extend to the TCC, VBCPS, CVB and ATC networks via
a password protected Internet page. Public/commercial usage will be routed through
the ATC network. There will be 69 connections for the UN-style seating area,
27 outlets in each breakout room, two at the lectern and one in the control room.
Intra-building Connectivity
The theater will support audio/video (AV) connections
to the VBCPS Distance Learning Lab, VBTV television studios, and TCC media services.
This will allow signals to be shared and projected in the theater or be cablecast
via the City or School cable channels.
Teleconference
Two way teleconferencing/videoconferencing
is available through a variety of resolution rates to meet customer
Satellite/ITFS
One-way video conferencing is available in the theater for receive or origination
capabilities. Audience participation is available via telephone or email. Webcasting
Activity can be streamed or webcast for remote "live" or on demand access. Audiences
could participate via telephone, email or web chats. |
