Course description
Class at the Mall!

Students meet daily at Pembroke Mall to study the operations and management of the retail industry while using the mall as a lab. Studies include: sales, merchandising, loss prevention, entrepreneurship, human resources, communication and more. Students may earn three credits as a co-op student or two credits as a non co-op student.

 

Pre-requisites
• Students must successfully complete Retail Operations to advance to Retail Management.

Spotlight on related college programs
• Classroom on the Mall graduates pursue two- and four- year college degrees in areas such as Marketing and Business.
• Former Students attend:
- Tidewater Community College
- Old Dominion University
- Virginia Wesleyan College

Industry certifications
• Students prepare for the National Retail Federation Exam in Customer Service and Sales.
