King has taught in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools for 25 years. He is currently in his second year at the Technical and Career Education Center. He holds an undergraduate degree in secondary education/marketing education and a master's degree in vocational education. Certified to teach basic business, marketing education and electronic commerce, King is a member of numerous local, state and National Organizations. He also has been recognized as a "Teacher of the Year" at Kempsville High School.
Lavender has been at the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center for five years as the Computer Network Instructor. She earned an Associates Degree in Data Processing, Novell Instructor Certification, Novell CNA and CNE, Microsoft Instructor and program Certification and completed numerous advanced courses. She is the Tech Center, Technical & Career Education, and Rotary Club Teacher of the Year for 1999.
Nelson started teaching at the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center in 2000. He came to the Tech Center as an extremely qualified individual from a military background (Interior Communications Chief) with a bachelor of science degree in occupational and technical studies and multiple certifications from Cisco and Microsoft. He also taught at Electronic Systems as a Microsoft Certified NT trainer.
Randall has been at the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center for 21 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in business education and her master's degree in educational administration and supervision. Randall has completed post-graduate work in Implementing & Supporting Microsoft Windows 98, Netware 5 Administration, and is currently working on completing a Microsoft Certified Professional Certification.
Smith earned his bachelors degree in architectural design and his master's degree in vocational education. He has previously worked as a nuclear designer at Newport News Shipbuilding, as a mechanical designer for the railroad, and as a freelance architectural designer. Smith has been with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools system for ten years and has been a VBCPS Technical and Career Education Teachers of the Year.
Troxell is a 12-year veteran of the advertising and graphic design industry. In addition to an education from Tidewater Community College in media and advertising arts with a business specialization, Troxell is a former advertising design student from the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center. He is currently an adjunct faculty member with Tidewater Community College where he teaches Communication Design I & II. During his career, Troxell has worked with a wide variety of advertising agencies, printing companies, non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, newspapers and numerous businesses. In addition, he has also worked as a storyboard artist for network television and is an accomplished web designer. Troxell currently serves as the national chairman for the Skills USA/VICA Advertising Design Technical Committee. |
