Students meet at the
mall for a double class period each day to receive classroom instruction
in the retail industry. Studies include window display,
merchandising, loss prevention, marketing research, and retail
sales. Co-op students engage in retailing activities with mall
merchants and receive assistance with job placement. Transportation will
be the responsibility of the student.
Certification: Students are eligible to sit for the National
Retail Federation Customer Service Professional exam for student-selected
verified credit.

the mall for a double class period to study management principles, retail
promotions, mall management, personnel policies, and business

This class is
designed to give students hands-on experience in the hotel
business. Students meet at a hotel for a double class period each
day to receive classroom instruction. Studies include all aspects
of hotel operation: preparation, table waiting, housekeeping, sales
and marketing, accounting, and security. Students also work with
the hotel staff during class time. Transportation is the
responsibility of the student.

Students learn how
to manage staff, monitor financial aspects, and maintain ongoing
operations in the hotel industry. Hands-on experience is gained
within the hotel industry. This class users the American Hotel/
Motel Association curriculum and provides the opportunity for students to
be certified as hospitality supervisory, a national recognition
program. Transportation is the responsibility of the student.
