COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING AND DESIGN (CADD)
(AT 8530/AT 8531)

VBCPS: 3 credits per year, 2 years, Grades 11-12; TCC: 10 credits

Potential credit with Old Dominion University (ODU)

  During this two-year program, students receive extensive training in architectural and mechanical design. This course involves developing complete mechanical assembly drawings with parts lists, welding symbols, and detail sheets. You will design a dream house and develop a complete set of building plans, while developing skills in using AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, and 3D-Studio Viz software. Students prepare for AutoCAD certification.

Software Program: AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, 3D-Studio Viz, and AutoCAD 2005-Assessment Exam Preparation Manual.
